Things to Consider When Buying a Season Pass

Posted by Vertical Drop Ski & Board on

Well, the temperatures are officially low and there’s no doubt about the fact that winter is right around the corner. Our last few blog posts have touched on a few pieces of the equipment that you need while out on the mountain, the reasoning behind wearing a helmet, and other topics that all hint toward the beginning of the season.

Today’s blog post is going to be a little bit more straightforward, as we’ve already seen the first snowfall in a few parts of the country. Today we’re going to be talking about what types of things you should take into consideration when deciding which season pass to get, so let’s get started.

The love of this sport knows no distance or location; people from all over the world love snow sports even when they aren’t close to the mountains. While that is the case, distance is definitely something worth considering when you’re deciding which season pass is going to be the best for you. The way that we see it, the more accessible and close the mountain, or mountains, that you’ve chosen are, the more you’re able to go. This could also play a part in how long of a drive you have each day that you decide to go, whether or not you’ll need to rent out a space or a car, or if you can simply rely on local transportation.

Skill Level

Every park that is offering season passes will have access to all levels of mountains, but something else that you might want to consider at this point is what your level is and if you’re going to feel comfortable with the selection that they have. If you are super experienced and you want to work more on your tricks, then you should make sure that the park has a trick park. For beginners, check and see how many hills you’ll be able to enjoy. It makes sense, you want to make sure that any mountain you’re investing in you can actually enjoy. This part is definitely worth looking into.

Your Budget

The last thing that we’re going to cover in today’s blog post is your budget. This is always something that will come into consideration when you’re making a big purchase, but what we really want to draw attention to with this is that there will be so many different parks that you can choose to purchase a season pass from, but it doesn’t have to be one that’s out of your budget. If you are trying to keep it within a certain level, keep that in mind, because we guarantee that you can find a park that suits your needs and your budget.

While we can’t help you find the perfect place to purchase your season pass, we do have you covered on your snow gear. From jackets to equipment, you can count on Vertical Ski & Board to carry what you need to make the season enjoyable. Browse the selection online or stop by to our store in Cincinnati for all of your products.
