Why do you skate
After playing team sports mostly growing up, I found a much better outlet in skating. Don't get me wrong, I've had great times playing team sports & respect the greatest athletes that work hard, but I just found a much more rewarding & accepting culture in skating. The possibilities are endless, and as long as you're trying and having fun, that's all that matters. As far as downhill goes- there's no quite comparable feeling to being under control on a skateboard at 40+ MPH.
Favorite place you've skated
Currently a tie between Maryhill & Giant's head mountain
My worst ever injury from downhill skating was on my face & on technically the slowest race I've ever competed in... Yeah...
What do you do when you're not skating
Biking, hiking, & general time spent outdoors is something I aim to do as often as I can. I do work, but it's not the highlight of any of my weeks. I cook every day, I really enjoy preparing meals for myself & friends. I spend a lot of time upkeeping my home & looking for ways to improve it. I love studying and finding new & old music. NPR, podcasts & different comedy art forms I enjoy thoroughly.
